Scooby Doo, Gifts For You, & A New Link-Up! Oh My!

I never know how to start my blog posts. I feel like I say "hey" a lot or "welcome" or something totally cheesy and ridiculous. I guess I'm pretty cheesy and ridiculous though, so it kind of fits. Anyway, I thought I'd start this blog post off by telling you guys about the most ridiculous movie I watched yesterday..

So I turned on the TV late yesterday morning to use as background noise. I was channel surfing looking for something that I could turn on that wouldn't distract me and that I would barely watch at all.
So I landed on what I thought was Scooby Doo!
Some History - I loved Scooby Doo as a kid! Okay, honestly, still sorta do! My mom was a big Scooby Doo fan, so my sister and I were big Scooby Doo fans. Love it.
Anyway, I figured I could turn it on and it was going to be the cartoon version and it would be good background noise and it'd make me smile.
No, No, No, No. I was wrong. See, it wasn't the cartoon version. I had been tricked.
It was Scooby Doo! The Mystery Begins

Good borderline great concept! It was all about how Mystery Inc. was first formed and it really was a good concept! BUT and that's a big, big but.. It was horrendous. I mean it was truly awful. The effects, the acting, oh good lord, the acting! It was just.. not good. Do you know what I did though? I watched the whole damn thing. Totally got distracted by how terrible it was a couldn't turn it off, so I kept watching. Worst attempt at background noise since the time I tried using Law&Order: SVU as background..
Oh, this movie does star Robbie Amell, which was interesting, because I sort of like him. Oh, and bonus.. there's a sequel to this movie - Scooby Doo! Curse of the Lake Monster. I now have this nagging need to watch it.

Moving right along.. I have 2 extra special things to discuss today!

Number 1 -
As many of you know I've started my own business with Mary Kay! I'm really, really excited about it and I've gotten myself involved in a few contests, because I tend to be competitive like that. Oops.
1 - 30 facials in 30 days. Unfortunately, most of you can't help me with this contest because most of you aren't close enough for me to give you a facial in the next 30 days. Whomp whomp.. I'm sad.
2 - Most E-Parties in my Unit. THIS is something you wonderful people CAN help me with! Help me help YOU!

You are all being given the opportunity to earn FREE products! All you have to do is take Mary Kay orders from your friends or your family or your coworkers from now until March 14th! Then you'll earn $10 in free product for every $100 you sell PLUS a special free gift from me! It's really, really simple - They can visit my website here and order products between now and March 14th! Then on March 15th I will total up your E-Party and let you know how much $$ in free product you earned and you can place your order! **I can have the orders shipped directly to you and your party, depending on where you are ordering from to keep shipping costs low**
For any and all questions you can visit my website or email me directly at kstoll129@gmail.com!
I'd really, really appreciate your help with this guys! I really and truly believe that we could win this one together! Then I'd not only give you all of my love and praise, but I'd also send you a bunch of gifts because I'm a huge softy like that.

Number 2 -
I mentioned last week that I had decided to dedicate Tuesdays to all things weight-loss and fitness and healthy lifestyle, WELL.. My girl Allie has been making some huge lifestyle changes too and we're both "Lifestyle Bloggers" who like staying in that category. To avoid talking about our weight-loss or fitness every day of the week, we both decided to make Tuesdays our day to discuss such things.. Well this of course turned into a wonderful little link-up because Allie is a genius..
The Best Of Intentions

The "rules" are simple, guys - You can write a post on Tuesdays about:
  • Weight Loss
  • Healthy Lifestyle
  • Fitness
  • Workouts
  • Goals regarding any of the above
  • Tips regarding any of the above
And I guess anything else you can think of that relates to any of the above. This isn't going to be strict or structured. Allie and I both just know how much it helps to have someone encouraging you along the way. That's what we want Tuesdays to be. A way for lots of people to have a mutual place to link up their posts when they need some encouragement.
We'd love if you'd include the button in your post, just so others can find their way here to encourage everyone else. Even if you don't write a post and link-up, I really encourage everyone to click around the links that will be posted and write a quick comment to someone boosting them up in their journey and letting them know they aren't alone. Sometimes that's all someone needs!
The first installment will be tomorrow! I hope to see you all back here to help everyone out!

  1. Why is Fred not blond? Rude.
Also, did you see that his character's name in HIMYM was Scooby? I giggled.

  2. I, too, make that mistake with Law & Order: SVU. I always over estimate my ability to tune it out and actually get things done.... darn you Olivia Benson!

  4. I don't even know how I'd feel about that Scooby Doo thing. See, I LOVED the original series and I also loved the series Pup Named Scooby-Doo about when they were kids, so to me that'll always be "how they got started". Now I really want to watch some old school scooby doo!
