#backthatazzup Christmas Edition! {Part 1}

It snowed last night.
I know, NEWSFLASH.
The first snow of the season.
One massive snowstorm to start the season.

I sort of get just a teeny, tiny bit excited about this first snow. Just because I remember being younger and being excited about the possibility of missing school and fun things like that.
No worries, the excitement usually leaves me in about 30 seconds.
I hate winter and I hate snow.

The exciting thing is that this morning my police officer neighbor (previously mentioned here) shoveled off the stairs and cleaned off my car.
Then my landlord's grandson-in-law shoveled the parking lot and took the time to shovel my car out.
All before I even woke up.
Tis the season to be neighborly!
Now I feel like I need to bake some cookies or something..

Anyway, to kick off your Friday morning, I gathered some Christmas goodies for you today!
Some of my favorite Christmas songs! Part 1 of course, because I have a Christmas song obsession, so yea.

Let's begin with a little 90s Christmas classic - Nsync's Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays
I mean, really? I JAM to this song.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Next up, Glee's version of God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen.
I love this song in general, but this version is just so good!
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Oh and here's a treat for you guys - Bette Midler's version of Sisters from White Christmas.
I almost can't stop laughing long enough to form a sentence to explain this one. Basically my grandma and Bette Midler are the same person. And she doesn't think so, which makes it about 67 times more hilarious than it already is. Bette Midler's Vegas show was on tv a few years ago and that was the moment I knew my grandma was Bette Midler. So there you go.
Oh, I also love the song Sisters.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Well next is a true Christmas classic - Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, sung by Judy Garland.
I love this song. Probably my all time favorite Christmas song if we're being honest. However, I don't love any version more than I love Judy Garland's version. Obsessed.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Finally, a little hometown lovin - The 12 Days of Christmas by Straight No Chaser
If you only listen to ONE song on today's list, it needs to be this one. It's not your average rendition of 12 Days of Christmas. Also, I really, really encourage you to check out Straight No Chaser. Start on Youtube and you'll be sucked in for hours.

So check your shit and listen to Christmas music.
Don't be Grinchy.

And while you're at it, #backthatazzup with Whitney.

I'll be doing some more of this today..

And responding to my 250 emails.
And probably baking cookies..

  6. I'm sorry, I can't even move beyond the first song. I've been sucked into an N*Sync black hole and I can't get out. Pretty sure my dog thought I was being attacked when I squealed and started dancing... oops ;)

  7. I am so jealous of your snow! It's so cold in Norcal right now and ZERO snow to show for it. Just cold!
