Things That Annoy Me (Part 3)

Oh hey, remember that time I wrote a quick post about things that were annoying me? Oh and then that time I wrote a 2nd post about things that were annoying me? I bet you can see where this is going..
Apparently lots of things annoy me and I've found that it's best if I just get it all off my chest.
All of it.
Off.

**Update: I had no idea this post was going to go live this morning. I had it scheduled for Friday. Today is Thursday. Hence my confusion. Anyway, I'm leaving it up, so enjoy!**

ONE
I don't know if you guys heard, but Ravenswood has been cancelled. When I found out I called my sister and we had a 45 minutes bitch session about it. I'm so ticked about this. I'm not upset because it was my new favorite show or because it was super great and amazing. I'm upset because I stuck with it through the entire first season and the very last few episodes the show was just finally starting to get better. I was actually really looking forward to the 2nd season because things were finally starting to turn around! I wrote a huge long post about PLL and Rwood already, but basically the first several episodes, actually over half of the season the show was terrible. I think it lost a LOT of it's potential viewers because of that. However, I stuck with it. I kept watching. I kept giving it a chance. And it finally started to make sense, especially when it finally started pulling away from PLL! Oh I could write a whole post about this and how shitty I am that ABC Family cancelled this. Like I said, my sister and I had a 45 minute phone call about it.

TWO
It really annoys me when some guy (and yea, it's always a guy) will try to quiz me on IU athletics or sports in general. It annoys me even more when I totally show him up and he either A, gets offended or B, acts totally shocked that I could possibly know what I'm talking about! Look, I'm not saying I know every little thing about every little sport and I'm always not saying that I always know the answers when they quiz me. There are plenty of things I don't know! But they quiz me to be dicks and expect me to get the answer wrong and they expect to show me how little girls could possibly know about sports. Drives me absolutely bonkers.

THREE
Winter.

FOUR
When someone doesn't use their turn signal. I can't even elaborate on this because steam will start coming out of my ears. Look, for the love of all that is Holy.. just use it. Next time you're in your car, think of me before making a turn, and take the .5 seconds to flick your turn signal. Just. Do. It.

Anyone else have some things they need to get off their chest?
Let me hear it!
I love a good vent session!

March Goals

I LOVE EVERYONE!
Okay, that was a little intense for first thing in the morning, but oh my goodness, you guys!! THANK YOU for all of your comments and emails yesterday! I'm slowing trudging through my email inbox and replying to them all, but I wanted a big, public thank you! I didn't realize how much I needed to hear any of that until I started hearing it. It's been good motivation to finish out this week strong!

This post is late, late, late. In two different ways - First of all, it's March 5th and I'm just now getting around to dealing with my March Goals. Second, this post isn't going to be posted until around noon. Because I don't have my shit together.
I work in a CPA Office, I've mentioned that a hundred times and news flash - It's tax season. I've got a lot to finish.
Also, my stepdad is having a big birthday (i'm not going to tell you what it is, but it's more than 49 and less than 51) and so my parents decided to go on a cruise. Cool. I'll just hang out in this 25 degree weather and play parent to my little brother.
I'm actually not that upset about it, they've earned it. But they flew out this morning and they'll be gone for a week and juggling my schedule with my little brother's schedule and then throwing in my sister's schedule because she's coming home from school for the weekend and her spring break.. Well, it's a lot of schedules to juggle.
I'm being whiny.
Someone tell me to shut the hell up.

Let's talk February.

Tough It Out Tuesday - The DietBet Edition

Hey.
Hi.
How are ya?
What's shaken?

Okay, yea.. I promise not to say that anymore. Anyway, welcome to Tough It Out Tuesday! I'm not going to be annoyingly repetitive, so if you're wondering what I'm talking about, you can read about it here.

The Best Of Intentions

Let's just jump into things -
I knew when I woke up this morning that it was either going to be a really awesome day or I was going to be bummed out. Spoiler Alert: I'm bummed out.

At the beginning of February I mentioned that I had joined Darci's DietBet. A DietBet is an online betting game where you bet against a group of people that you'll lose 4% of your body weight in a month. You send in weigh in pictures and then at the end of the month you send in weigh out pictures. So the DietBet I had entered ended yesterday. This morning I knew I had to take my weigh out pictures and see if I had hit my goal.
I won't drag this out any longer - guess what, I didn't.

Actually, I'm 0.8 lbs away from my 4% goal weight for the DietBet.
Before you even say it, you bet your ass I changed clothes a thousand times AND moved the scale around in every single room AND tried different ways of standing on the scale. Any trick I had ever learned came into full play this morning (on an empty stomach, of course) and no dice.
I. WAS. BUMMED.

I was even a tiny bit more bummed because I was pretty sure I had hit my goal weight. So for me to not see that weight on the scale this morning was a bit of a downer. I could feel myself start to get upset and discouraged, so I stepped away from the scale and towards my computer to open up Blogger and start this blog post to distract me. Now that I've taken several minutes to reflect, here's what I'm thinking..
  • I was 0.8 lbs away from a weight I haven't seen in a long time. Holy mackerel that's exciting! And something to celebrate!
  • I was 0.8 lbs away from losing 4% of my body weight and I did NOT work as hard as I could have. I did not go to the gym near as often as I should've or could've. I did NOT do my workout dvds religiously like I had planned. I did spend a lot of time on my ass.
  • I'm really proud of my eating the last month. I definitely had the occasional "cheat" but I stuck really close to my meal plans and did really well with my portions.
Now that I've reflected on all of that, yes, I'm not going to lie, I'm still bummed. So, so bummed. However, I'm going to give myself the morning to be bummed and by noon I'm going to turn this mess into a positive! I work in college athletics and I have access to some of the best resources! So the other day I spoke with a student trainer about some things and I've gotten a rough idea of my plans moving forward.
I shall share those next Tuesday when they're all ironed out!

In the meantime, post, link-up with me and Allie.
Oh, and be sure to check out Allie's post today. She's posting about a pretty big milestone and I'm excited for her!

Scooby Doo, Gifts For You, & A New Link-Up! Oh My!

I never know how to start my blog posts. I feel like I say "hey" a lot or "welcome" or something totally cheesy and ridiculous. I guess I'm pretty cheesy and ridiculous though, so it kind of fits. Anyway, I thought I'd start this blog post off by telling you guys about the most ridiculous movie I watched yesterday..

So I turned on the TV late yesterday morning to use as background noise. I was channel surfing looking for something that I could turn on that wouldn't distract me and that I would barely watch at all.
So I landed on what I thought was Scooby Doo!
Some History - I loved Scooby Doo as a kid! Okay, honestly, still sorta do! My mom was a big Scooby Doo fan, so my sister and I were big Scooby Doo fans. Love it.
Anyway, I figured I could turn it on and it was going to be the cartoon version and it would be good background noise and it'd make me smile.
No, No, No, No. I was wrong. See, it wasn't the cartoon version. I had been tricked.
It was Scooby Doo! The Mystery Begins

Good borderline great concept! It was all about how Mystery Inc. was first formed and it really was a good concept! BUT and that's a big, big but.. It was horrendous. I mean it was truly awful. The effects, the acting, oh good lord, the acting! It was just.. not good. Do you know what I did though? I watched the whole damn thing. Totally got distracted by how terrible it was a couldn't turn it off, so I kept watching. Worst attempt at background noise since the time I tried using Law&Order: SVU as background..
Oh, this movie does star Robbie Amell, which was interesting, because I sort of like him. Oh, and bonus.. there's a sequel to this movie - Scooby Doo! Curse of the Lake Monster. I now have this nagging need to watch it.

Moving right along.. I have 2 extra special things to discuss today!

Number 1 -
As many of you know I've started my own business with Mary Kay! I'm really, really excited about it and I've gotten myself involved in a few contests, because I tend to be competitive like that. Oops.
1 - 30 facials in 30 days. Unfortunately, most of you can't help me with this contest because most of you aren't close enough for me to give you a facial in the next 30 days. Whomp whomp.. I'm sad.
2 - Most E-Parties in my Unit. THIS is something you wonderful people CAN help me with! Help me help YOU!

You are all being given the opportunity to earn FREE products! All you have to do is take Mary Kay orders from your friends or your family or your coworkers from now until March 14th! Then you'll earn $10 in free product for every $100 you sell PLUS a special free gift from me! It's really, really simple - They can visit my website here and order products between now and March 14th! Then on March 15th I will total up your E-Party and let you know how much $$ in free product you earned and you can place your order! **I can have the orders shipped directly to you and your party, depending on where you are ordering from to keep shipping costs low**
For any and all questions you can visit my website or email me directly at kstoll129@gmail.com!
I'd really, really appreciate your help with this guys! I really and truly believe that we could win this one together! Then I'd not only give you all of my love and praise, but I'd also send you a bunch of gifts because I'm a huge softy like that.

Number 2 -
I mentioned last week that I had decided to dedicate Tuesdays to all things weight-loss and fitness and healthy lifestyle, WELL.. My girl Allie has been making some huge lifestyle changes too and we're both "Lifestyle Bloggers" who like staying in that category. To avoid talking about our weight-loss or fitness every day of the week, we both decided to make Tuesdays our day to discuss such things.. Well this of course turned into a wonderful little link-up because Allie is a genius..
The Best Of Intentions

The "rules" are simple, guys - You can write a post on Tuesdays about:
  • Weight Loss
  • Healthy Lifestyle
  • Fitness
  • Workouts
  • Goals regarding any of the above
  • Tips regarding any of the above
And I guess anything else you can think of that relates to any of the above. This isn't going to be strict or structured. Allie and I both just know how much it helps to have someone encouraging you along the way. That's what we want Tuesdays to be. A way for lots of people to have a mutual place to link up their posts when they need some encouragement.
We'd love if you'd include the button in your post, just so others can find their way here to encourage everyone else. Even if you don't write a post and link-up, I really encourage everyone to click around the links that will be posted and write a quick comment to someone boosting them up in their journey and letting them know they aren't alone. Sometimes that's all someone needs!
The first installment will be tomorrow! I hope to see you all back here to help everyone out!
