I could write an introduction paragraph OR I could just get to the point and save us all some time. I'll take a vote. All in favorite of me skipping the intro paragraph do absolutely nothing..
Great. Moving on then.
It's Tuesday. If you don't know what that means then get your shit together.
The "rules" are simple -
1. On Tuesdays write a post about anything fitness, weight loss, healthy living, etc. etc. and link up with
Allie and I.
2. This isn't strict or heavily structured.
Allie and I really just wanted a mutual place to motivate each other and everyone else who drops by!
3. The main, big, huge purpose of this link up is to motivate and
encourage others. I would really love it if you'd take the time to click
around the links listed below and give some words of encouragement to
everyone else. Maybe even let them know that they aren't alone in their
journey. Sometimes that's all someone needs.
I spent a really long time trying to decide what I was going to talk about in this post. Let me be clear, I'm coming off of a
fantastic weekend as far as my self-confidence goes. It started on Thursday night when I was trying on old dresses in my closet and the dresses were fitting better than they did the first time! One dress was even
loose!
Then Friday morning I had to run to Target for a few things and saw that they were having a jeans sale. Ugh, so of course I
had to quickly try on some jeans. I grabbed my usual size since I was in a hurry and went in the dressing room and
would you look at that! They were too big. Too. Big. I had to go down a size. Then I sent this text to my mom and sister.
Freaking out just a wee bit.
Then I spent the rest of the weekend at a Mary Kay Career Conference. That could have been the perfect opportunity to take a small break from my plan, but I didn't even consider it! I was motivated as hell!! I happily ordered salads and drank a crap ton of water! Took the stairs instead of the escalator! In heels!

side note: raw onions are yucky |
This all got me thinking about something.
I've seen it before on weight loss blogs and such.
Someone always asks someone else
"What's the secret?"
Everyone always responds with some hooplah like
"there is no secret! It's just a hard work and dedication" and lalala.
Well guys, I'm here to let the cat out of the bag. Do you really want to know what the secret is?!
Progress.
Seeing and feeling the progress of my hard work motivated me more than anything else ever has, ever. I got such a small taste of my goal and I became addicted to it. Finally knowing and seeing that my 5am gym time and my broccoli meals has started to do something and change my body.. Holy shit, YOU GUYS! I've become addicted to that feeling.
So, do I have an end game in mind? Obviously. I mean, of course I know where I want to eventually "end up". But along the way I've created more and more "check points" for myself. That's the secret.
Let yourself taste victory.
Let yourself feel some kind of accomplishment.
Let yourself win.
Let yourself find that feeling and use it to keep going.
That is the secret.
Just thought I'd let you guys in on that, since apparently no one else will tell you.
OH OH OH.. Speaking of working out.
