Wine, A Bridal Shower, More Wine, A Bach Party, And More Wine.

You guys have heard of the "struggle bus" right? Well yesterday I was driving the struggle bus.
No really, I drove a car full of girls an hour+ home yesterday and it was a struggle.
Today, I'm no longer driving the struggle bus, but I think I might still be a passenger.

I'm not running on all cylinders this morning (afternoon), so here's the plan for today: One huge weekend photo dump with minimal words.

Friday - WINE FEST, 300 plus wines to taste + quality time with my favorite nephew. You've met him here.

HI MARION! HI KRISTEN! They read this, so they get special shout outs!
 He is perfection, seriously.

Saturday - Bridal Shower and Bachelorette Party for a girl I've known since we were 10 years old! That's 14 years of friendship and now she's getting married and her twin brother got married last summer and now I feel so old and it's scaring me!
ugh, all of that food was so disgusting, so i didn't eat any of it.. (i'm a liar)
And the Bachelorette Party.. If you don't like looking a penises.. Please jump to the end of this blog post.
the middle pic is blurry because i couldn't hold my phone still because i was laughing so hard

There are more photos and I'm sure more will creep up the next few days, so if you want to see them probably follow me on Instagram.

I'm so ridiculously happy for Angela and I'm so glad I got to celebrate with her!
If any of you ever go to Indianapolis, I highly recommend Howl At The Moon! It's a dueling piano bar and it was a lot of fun. So I very much recommend it!

Sunday - No pictures. We were basically useless to society all day.

Happy Monday!
See you tomorrow for TIOT!

And BONUS FUN today -
Melissa used one of my blog post ideas and wrote a post about her morning routine and I'm super nosey and I love it so much! Why is it so interesting to see what everyone else does in the mornings?! PS. She gets up and leaves the house in an hour and 15 minutes.. with two children. What is that nonsense? How can she teach me to be that efficient in the morning?!

I love ya'll, snicklefritzes! ;)

My Bump It List

HOLY CANNOLI!
(has anyone else noticed how much i've said that phrase lately? someone call me out on it the next damn time i say that phrase)
So yesterday I was slaying (sitting/laying) on my couch at 7am writing my blog post and thinking "I'm going to make this really ridiculous and awesome list of blog post ideas of posts I want to read so that I can get out of actually writing any of the posts"
Well guess what, that back fired on me a little because I love my list so much that now I'm going to use some of my own ideas.

**I interrupt this blog post to tell you guys that I'm currently watching this weeks Criminal Minds episode as I type this (multitasking at its finest) and a character just called someone a "snicklefritz" and after I stopped laughing I Googled it and apparently it's an old Dutch term of affection that people used to call talkative children and that was basically my life. So don't be surprised if "snicklefritz" becomes my new favorite word around these parts**

So where was I? Oh yea, so anyway before I was able to use my own blog post idea list, Breenah used it!! She wrote her post yesterday using one of my prompts! AND I LOVE IT SO MUCH! You need to read it and check out her sweet, tiny little girl in a big 'ol bike helmet. Preciousness.
Also, I heart Breenah so much for using my silly post idea and I can't get over how awesome blogging is and how many stinkin' awesome people I get to interact with because of it!!

Moving on for the day!
Yesterday Kalyn and Brooks had a really awesome link-up that I missed, so I'm doing it today!
A day late and a dollar short.
Story of my life.

The link-up is basically the opposite of a "bucket list", they're calling it a "bump it list". Clever. A list of things you do not want to do or things you'd flat out never do before you die.

1. Cheer for Kentucky or Purdue. Sorry, it's just not ever going to happen. In fact, I become a mini-fan of whoever is playing them. And if they ever play each other? Then I hope they both lose. Sorry that I'm so not sorry. Hoosier for life.

2. Own a bird. NO. Not ever in a million years. I'm pretty much terrified of birds.. Like a lot. I was forced to watch the movie The Birds at an impressionable age. I'm scarred for life. My stepdad is probably laughing right now.. But it's not funny.

3. Scuba Dive. The whole idea of drowning actually really freaks me out and I can't imagine putting myself in a position where the worst case scenario is drowning or running out of air. Yea, that is sort of giving me some anxiety now. Not to mention when you scuba dive you are being pushed down by thousands and thousands of pounds of water and okay, I'm freaking myself out.

4. Wear a sunny yellow dress. One time when I was around 13 my mom told me that yellow wasn't my color. She wasn't wrong. Anytime I even think about wearing yellow, I hear my mom. So if for some reason, 60 years in the future you see me and I'm wearing yellow, then it's because someone else has dressed me.

5. Not support my sister. At least publicly. My sister is not always right, trust me, she's not. But when it comes down to my sister versus anyone else, I will always choose my sister. Honestly, your best bet is to just not put me in a situation to choose. Because you will lose. If my sister is the one in the wrong, then I would privately deal with it and we'd have one of those sister talks where she gets mad and slams her door. But like I said, publicly, I'd have her back. Always.

6. Murder anyone. I mean, I just know that I don't have it in me. I haven't had children yet though, so who knows?

7. Cut out cheese and peanut butter from my life completely. It will never happen, so don't you even dare suggest it.

8. Tattoo my face. I like tattoos, I have absolutely zero problem with them. I would eventually love to have one of my own. However, it won't be on my face.

I can't think of anything else right now.
I'm boring.
Go read Breenah's post.
Go read all of the link-ups. They're super interesting.
I love all you snicklefritzes!

36 Of The Best Blog Post Ideas.. EVER!

I've started and erased this post approximately 3,000 times this morning. It's all been garbage or stupid, ridiculous rambles. My heart is so not in it right now. I've noticed that this is a common blogger thing. Sometimes the post ideas will be rolling in and coming into my head faster than I can type them. Sometimes.. Not so much. Right now is one of those times.

BUT THEN...
I started to think about all of the posts I'd love to read right now and posts I'd love to tweet and share with others. So I got smart and I made a little listy-mclist!

  1. Without deleting anything, post the last 10 pictures on your photo roll on your phone. Feel free to explain OR keep us guessing.
  2. Find your last Target receipt. Post what you bought. This could be laugh out loud hilarious.
  3. Top 10 favorite Harry Potter quotes (books or movies). Any and all Harry Potter posts are my favorite.
  4. Photos of your messy house or apartment. I want to know you aren't perfect either!
  5. If you could get paid to write a sponsored post about anything, what would it be?
  6. Go ahead and write that non-sponsored sponsored post.
  7. A quick pro and con list on blogging. It's not all rainbows and butterflies, be honest.
  8. The worst movie you've ever seen. (and how would you make it better?)
  9. If you could be an actor in a TV show, which TV show would you choose and why?
  10. Write me a short story. Include me in it if you must. (wink wink)
  11. Photo an hour! I love those!
  12. Plan a pretend vacation to a place you really want to visit.
  13. Just list a ton of really corny jokes.
  14. The last time you cried. Tell me all about it, girl!
  15. A DIY post. I'm a sucker for all things DIY.
  16. A thank you note to an inanimate object. (hi, sweet sweet memory foam mattress, thank you so)
  17. Where do you write your blog posts? Show me, tell me!
  18. Write an opinion or rant about a popular news headline right now (missing Malaysian airplane, anyone?)
  19. Test a bunch of different chocolate chip cookies recipes and post which one is actually "the best"!
  20. Create a survey! Major bonus points for pie charts and colorful graphs afterwards with the results.
  21. Live blog a TV show or movie.
  22. Live blog your day!! OMG, DO THIS!
  23. Top 5 favorite wines.. List 'em. Now.
  24. A Q&A with you grandma or grandpa!
  25. What supernatural things do you believe in or not? (aliens, bigfoot, ghosts, etc.)
  26. Top 10 things you've learned from Criminal Minds. (i could probably make a top 25)
  27. Tell me about your morning routine. I'm nosey.
  28. Twitter worldwide trending topics, chat about them.
  29. Instagram popular page.. Let's talk about them
  30. Pick an object (or two or three), don't tell us what it is, describe it, then have us guess!
  31. Live blog a party.
  32. This time last year, what were you writing about? Review your own blogging.
  33. Write a very detailed step by step guide of a simple task. Make it funny, kids!
  34. Take a photo of your desk RIGHT NOW and explain yourself.
  35. If it wasn't illegal, would you do it?
  36. Make a list of blog post ideas.

Listen, as I was making that list, I got a brilliant idea. So, ATTENTION:

If ANYONE uses one of these prompts, send me your post and I will broadcast the crap out of it! I will also be your bestie best, best friend for life! Seriously, seriously, SERIOUSLY!

That is all for the day.
Please use these prompts because some of these were some really good ideas of posts I would totally love to read.
I'm not kidding.
Do you understand that?
I. Am. Not. Kidding.
Kapeesh?!

Tough It Out Tuesday - The Secret Edition

I could write an introduction paragraph OR I could just get to the point and save us all some time. I'll take a vote. All in favorite of me skipping the intro paragraph do absolutely nothing..
Great. Moving on then.

It's Tuesday. If you don't know what that means then get your shit together.

The "rules" are simple -
1. On Tuesdays write a post about anything fitness, weight loss, healthy living, etc. etc. and link up with Allie and I.
2. This isn't strict or heavily structured. Allie and I really just wanted a mutual place to motivate each other and everyone else who drops by!
3. The main, big, huge purpose of this link up is to motivate and encourage others. I would really love it if you'd take the time to click around the links listed below and give some words of encouragement to everyone else. Maybe even let them know that they aren't alone in their journey. Sometimes that's all someone needs.

I spent a really long time trying to decide what I was going to talk about in this post. Let me be clear, I'm coming off of a fantastic weekend as far as my self-confidence goes. It started on Thursday night when I was trying on old dresses in my closet and the dresses were fitting better than they did the first time! One dress was even loose!

Then Friday morning I had to run to Target for a few things and saw that they were having a jeans sale. Ugh, so of course I had to quickly try on some jeans. I grabbed my usual size since I was in a hurry and went in the dressing room and would you look at that! They were too big. Too. Big. I had to go down a size. Then I sent this text to my mom and sister.

Freaking out just a wee bit.

Then I spent the rest of the weekend at a Mary Kay Career Conference. That could have been the perfect opportunity to take a small break from my plan, but I didn't even consider it! I was motivated as hell!! I happily ordered salads and drank a crap ton of water! Took the stairs instead of the escalator! In heels!

side note: raw onions are yucky

This all got me thinking about something.
I've seen it before on weight loss blogs and such.
Someone always asks someone else "What's the secret?"
Everyone always responds with some hooplah like "there is no secret! It's just a hard work and dedication" and lalala.
Well guys, I'm here to let the cat out of the bag. Do you really want to know what the secret is?!
Progress.
Seeing and feeling the progress of my hard work motivated me more than anything else ever has, ever. I got such a small taste of my goal and I became addicted to it. Finally knowing and seeing that my 5am gym time and my broccoli meals has started to do something and change my body.. Holy shit, YOU GUYS! I've become addicted to that feeling.

So, do I have an end game in mind? Obviously. I mean, of course I know where I want to eventually "end up". But along the way I've created more and more "check points" for myself. That's the secret.
Let yourself taste victory.
Let yourself feel some kind of accomplishment.
Let yourself win.
Let yourself find that feeling and use it to keep going.
That is the secret.

Just thought I'd let you guys in on that, since apparently no one else will tell you.

OH OH OH.. Speaking of working out.
Starting TODAY I'm doing the #1800MinuteChallenge with Erin.
I'll mostly be posting about it on Instagram and you can follow me here.
I encourage EVERYONE and their brother (and mother) (and father and sister too) to join this challenge!
Read all about it right here and seriously.. Do it.
This is a very doable challenge!

Now even though I've been a bad blogger, I mean seriously.. I've sucked. I'm going to read ALL the link-ups today. I promise.
So link-up with Allie and I below so I can stalk you!
